Steel & Metallurgy magazine, one of the leading steel journals in India, has reached a milestone of 20 years of successful journey with the Indian steel industry. To mark the occasion, Steel & Metallurgy organised a conference on 26th November 2018 at The Lalit Great Eastern Hotel, Kolkata.
The one-day conference titled “Integrated & Secondary Steel Sector- Growth & Survival Strategies” sought to discuss the challenges faced by both integrated and secondary steel producers in India and to find out solutions for their future growth. The conference was attended by Industry experts, policymakers, steel producers, technology suppliers and select members of the media. It featured a thought-provoking panel discussion followed by interactive technical sessions and technical paper presentations. As part of the conference Awards were given out to twenty stalwarts from the industry that covered the entire horizon from the mine to the media.
