The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a two days workshop on self defence on 13th and 14th of August,2016 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. It was held in 6th floor auditorium. Our respected Dean, Prof. Dilip Shah, welcomed Sensei Sudip Das (3rd Dan Black Belt from Japan) and Sensei Shantanu Chandra (5th Dan Black Belt from Japan) and gave a brief introduction about them to the Be-ites. With the assistance of Sensei Puja Yadav (1st Dan Black Belt from Japan) and Rajat, Sensei Sudip Das conducted the self defence workshop with 30 Be-ites who came to attend the workshop.
After a brief introduction about self defence, karate and its origin by Sensei Sudip Das he further explained the significance of Karate in our daily life. then he initiated the workshop by warm-ups and some practical examples and mixed martial arts. The students enthusiastically participated and showed a good spirit about it. On both the days students were equally energetic and dedicated towards the workshop. Students were so interested to know more about self-defence subject that they requested for more of these workshops.
