The Department of Computer Science, The Bhawanipur Education Society College has successfully organized a One Day International Seminar on “Technological Forces Shaping the Digital Future” on 19th December 2024. The seminar brought together experts, professionals, and students to explore the latest technological advancements and their transformative impact on industries and society. This seminar served as a nexus for experts, professionals, and researchers to delve into the latest technological advancements and their transformative effects on various industries and society at large. Dr. Kamal Sarkar ignited the conversation with a deep dive into the ethical dimensions of large language models, shedding light on their impact on privacy, bias, and misinformation. Ms. Kavitha Lakshminarasaiah captivated the audience with her session on how Snowflake and AI are revolutionizing business intelligence, empowering organizations to make smarter, data-driven decisions. Dr. Badri Narayana Patro took the stage to unravel the creative potential of Generative AI, showing how it is transforming art, content creation, and digital media, indicating potential problems of AI hallucinations as well. The seminar also featured a research paper presentation session, chaired by Dr. Soumya Sen, University of Calcutta, and Dr. Siddhartha Roy, University of Engineering and Management, showcasing 11 innovative research papers on cutting-edge topics like AI, Smart City, cybersecurity, IoT, and data science. The event was a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, fostering rich discussions and sparking new ideas for the digital future, where around 125 participants from different institutions and industries gathered to share insights, collaborate on emerging technologies, and explore innovative solutions.
