Participants :13 students Accompanied by Dr. Mili Samaddar(Associate professor) and Dr. Kasturi Mukherjee(Assistant professor).
We the teachers of the department of Bengali had some specific objectives for arranging this NATURE’S CAMP.
Our mission was-
1. To provide free and conducive atmosphere for creative thinking and impart deep disciplinary knowledge with an interdisciplinary bandwidth to the learners in order to make them problem solvers, leaders and entrepreneurs.
2. To assimilate and transmit the values of honesty, equality, human dignity.
3.To contribute effectively to the welfare of Society, address the local and global challenges, respecting culture, environment and sustainability.
4. To undertake research in frontier and emerging areas to advance knowledge and through innovation turn it into intellectual property and entrepreneurship to accelerate growth.
Department of Bengali would like to offer a broader lens to students enabling them to recognise the actual reality outside the classroom lectures and notes. Sincere and dedicated students are able to connect themselves to the nuances of the environmental crisis which is a travail not only for the present but also for the future.
Our mission is purely academic, because literature has its origin in the nature and its pristine beauty. Therefore Nature’s Camp creates opportunity for the students to understand and appreciate the interrelation between literature and nature. The students of this generation is the key to bring back the responsibility and respect that humans must have for our environment.
