The Bhawanipur Education Society College took the initiative of taking its college students to a literary meet at Victoria Memorial on 23rd January 2015 accompanied by Prof. Dilip Shah. The Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet (Kalam), held in association with Victoria Memorial Hall and The Telegraph, open to such wish fulfillment on a sunny Friday at Victoria Memorial.
The 5 day meet was inaugurated by speech by our governor Mr. Keshrinath Tripathi, before an 800 strong audience. The main highlight of this program was the presence of an eminent author Mr.Ruskin Bond. The meet took its way with the signing on a canvas by both the speakers Mr. Keshrinath Tripathi and Mr. Ruskin bond. It was followed by an interactive session with Mrs. Malvika the director of tata steel literary meet and Mr. Ruskin Bond.
The interactive session became interesting a when the audience started participating actively in it…The program ended with Ruskin bond message Bond said “he does not go to literary festivals because writers should be read not heard and certainly not seen.”
Quizzard presented an entertaining session of Bollywood quiz on the 14th of October at 10 am. Bollywood has ruled the hearts of people of all age groups. The session was an enthralling experience for all the enthusiastic students. Total of 50 teams took part in the preliminary round, out of which top 10 teams qualified …
Stand-up comedy is a comic style in which a comedian performs in front of a live audience, usually speaking directly to them. Such a show was put up in the sixth floor auditorium on the 16th of January. The show was held at around 4:30 in the evening and went on till 6:00 p.m.
