J.D. BIRLA INSTITUTE took immense pride in bringing to us INVICTUS’20, the sixth edition of their inter- college fest. This fest was held on 14th , 15th and 16th of February 2020 , comprising of several managerial , cultural and sporting events .
Our college, THE BHAWANIPUR EDUCATION SOCIETY COLLEGE, took part in 40 different events organized by them. Not only did we participate in maximum number of events, but we also ranked top in most of them. Our college representatives were: KISHAN BAGARIA and SHIKHAR THANVI of third years.
Our college secured first positions in the following events –
VOLLEYBALL (BOYS)
BASKETBALL (BOYS)
MYSTERY BOX
TREASURE HUNT
MR. INVICTUS
SLAM POETRY
Second positions in the following events-
CRICKET (GIRLS)
BOLLYWOOD ANTAKSHARI
MANDALA ART
BOLLYWOOD DANCE
DEBATE
FASHION SHOW
And lastly, it secured the third position in MOCK THE PARLIAMENT event.
On Day 1, NIKITA GANDHI and EPR IYER (UNDERGROUND AUTHORITY) heightened the sense of excitement for the crowd. On Day 2, two famous standup comedians, GAURAV KAPOOR and SAMAY RAINA tickled everyone’s funny bones with their sense of humor. The audience were spun by the melody of India’s one of the most popular musician, singer and composer, AKHIL SACHDEVA with NASHA BAND on the very last day of the fest. The fest ended on a majestic note.
The Street Play was held in the lawn in front of the Common Room. It was judged by Abhishek Bannerjee and Janardhan Ghosh. A total of five team had participated and each team consisted of eight to ten members. The topic allotted to them was Rape and accordingly the teams carried out their performances.
International Management Institute Kolkata representatives, Sneha Chakravorty and Aparna Singh Roy (an alumnus of BESC) were in the campus on August 29th 2017, to conduct the initial round and identify the winners who will represent BESC in the forthcoming IMI Kolkata Fest.
