Fashion is something you own, it shows how to carry yourself, how confident you are in your skin and how well you carry the outfit and present it. On 15th and 16th of November, The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a FASHION SHOWCASE for its students. It was a two-day competition; students were divided into two slots on two consecutive days. The theme enabled the participants to present the rich and varied cultures across the world. The students were dressed in bright and colourful costumes. The judges for the event were ex be-ites- Ms. Saloni Mehta and Ms. Shrilagna.
The competition was divided into three rounds. First round – The walk – The students were judged based on their walk, the culture/ country they are representing. Second round- Introduction and cultural performance- The students had to introduce themselves and the culture they are representing and had to perform something on that culture and the final round – Q/A – The Judges asked them questions.
Around 40 students participated on the first day and 30 on the second day, The first round started, the students came in one after the other and the stage was set on fire with their amazing walks and the radiant colours of their costumes.
The winners were chosen and given prizes for their wonderful performances. The winner and runner up were: Chandrima Das and Tushita Chhughani- for day 1 and Meghali Sengupta and Ronit Singh- for day 2. The program was a grand success. Every single person behind and in front of the stage contributed for the success of the show.
The Bhawanipur Education Society College has a reputation of embracing new cultures and of being earnestly sincere regarding new moves.
