The Bhawanipur Education Society College recently hosted an event under the group Tech Deck which was just framed this year. The event which the group hosted was the DIY(Do It Yourself) held on the 28-09-16 in the Concept Hall(6th Floor) from 10:30AM-02:00PM . Under this event we tried to cover the technological stuffs which could be made at home from our hands and from the general trash.
The event covered making of the six projects which were the Virtual Reality glasses, 3D holographic projector, trip wire alarm, USB fan, Reel converter, & the Popcorn Machine. There were 42 registrants in total so we decided to group them as six per group eventually making seven groups which were Team Radon(mentored by Trishala Mitra), Titanium(Karan Mundhra), Uranium(Neha Shaw), Xenon(Keshav Khandelwal), Helium(Shibhanwita Roy) , Neon(Sunny kr. Singh), Argon(Trishita Das). The event was superbly hosted and lead by Rahul Agarwal. The time allotted for making the gadgets was 1 hour, manuals for each of the projects were given. When the clock started ticking, the participants rushed to the inventory collecting the required materials for making the gadgets. The event was full of pressure, excitement and even a bit of shock for the mentors. The cameramen covering the event were Anirban Roy and Indranil Mukherjee. They were also in charge of the logistics of the event. At the end, the judges(Rahul Agarwal & Rahul Agrawal) went to each team and inspected the projects and declared Team Radon as the winner and Team Titanium as the runners-up. Later the judges also explained how to make each project and where they can improve themselves. The whole event was an idea of our Dean, Prof. Dilip Shah and was executed flawlessly under the guidance of Prof.Diyvesh Shah.
