Objective of the event: The workshop aimed to develop skills and promote bonding among the children.
Brief description of the event: The workshop began with a brief introduction by Ms. Tibrewal, who explained the significance of Raksha Bandhan and the importance of bonding and relationships. She then demonstrated the basics of rakhi making using materials like threads, beads, and other decorative items. The children showed great enthusiasm and creativity in making rakhis, and under Ms. Tibrewal’s guidance, they were able to create 120 beautiful rakhis. The workshop was designed to promote skill development, teamwork, and bonding among the children, and it was heartening to see them work together, share ideas, and learn from each other. The use of various materials and colours added a festive touch to the workshop, and the children were encouraged to express their creativity and imagination. The atmosphere was lively and engaging, with the children eagerly participating and enjoying the process of creating something beautiful. The workshop concluded with a display of the rakhis made by the children, and a sense of pride and accomplishment was evident on their faces. The BESC Assembly of Nations participated in the Jadavpur University Model United Nations.
