The Department of Chemistry in collaboration with IQAC, The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized a webinar entitled “ChemVoice’21” on June 26, 2021 from 2.30 pm in Google Meet platform. It was a Students’ Webinar where twelve students of the Department of Chemistry participated and presented various topics based on their undergraduate syllabus and different topics based on current inventions related to Chemistry through powerpoint presentation. Duration of each presentation was decided for 8 minutes followed by a question answer session after each presentation. Two distinguished Experts, namely Prof. Achintya Kumar Sarkar, Head, Department of Chemistry, Bidhannagar College, Kolkata and Dr. Samir Kanti Dutta, Vice-principal, Science, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata were present to judge their presentation by their most valuable and relatable questions. After a long four hours interesting session of the students’ presentation, two experts declared the scores of the participants. Ashiqua Zeb (SEM II Hons.), Sagnik Chakraborty (SEM-II Hons.), Debashree Ganguly (SEM-II Hons.), Ankit Kumar Gupta (SEM-IV Hons.) and Nishi Gandha (SEM-VI Hons.) were selected as the five best presenters amongst all. This webinar was coordinated by Dr. Suchandra Chakraborty and Dr. Sugata Samanta with the other members of the organizing committee was Dr. Samir K. Siddhanta, Dr. Pinki Saha Sardar, Dr. Saugata Konar, Dr. Yeasin Sikdar and Mr. Sourav Das. Feedback was received from the participants through online process followed by sending an E-certificate of participation to the participants. At last the event was ended with a ‘Rabindra Sangeet’, sung by Sinchan Dasgupta, a student of SEM II (Hons.). This students’ webinar was indeed the very motivational and inspiring session for the students with the shades of impact to their growing knowledge.
