The Bhawanipur Educational Society College, Department of Management organised an intra-college management exhibition “Apocalypse” on 10 th March, 2018.
The exhibition aimed at brainstorming the minds of the young students for the business world.
The students were asked to come up with interesting solutions to the day to day problems faced in the society.
They were been practically trained through this exhibition to think as managers and entrepreneurs.
7 teams participated in the exhibition, each team comprising of 5 students each.
The exhibition was held at Valia Hall and was visited by students and teachers from different departments.
Important member from the Management and the Governing Body were also present during the exhibition.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Pradip Sheth, Ex Officio Member of The Bhawanipur Educational Society College which was later followed by the welcome speech given by Dr. Suman Kumar Mukherjee, Director General of The Bhawanipur Educational Society College.
Dr. Mukherjee mainly focused on telling the students the importance of entrepreneurship in the modern age . Prof.
Dilip Shah, Dean of The Bhawanipur Educational Society College, explained the importance of entrepreneurship, problem solving and idea generation by giving examples of various successful entrepreneurs. Prof.
Shah quoted Steve Jobs, Founder of Apple Inc – “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.”, and explained the importance of these words for an entrepreneur.
The students displayed their creative and innovative ideas which could be implemented in the near future.
Team Breeze came up with a very innovative idea of a Solar AC which is very eco friendly and does not emits CFC therefore saving our atmosphere from further damage.
Team Tutee Connect had plans of developing a software that could ease the work of the management and the students with its unique features of GPS enabled quick attendance system, note sharing, student profile etc.
Rural electricity which is currently a main hindrance in the overall growth of the economy, but Team Rohbust developed a model of a smart village which would have 24×7 electricity supply through eco friendly techniques like solar energy.
Another team came up with an idea to explain how companies use different pricing strategy to get the most from their customers.
Team Taaras came up with a new kind of microchip which works using GPS. Team Avous displayed a new biodegradable shoe sale which provides better support to our feet and does not harms the environment as well.
In the age of digital learning, Team Unite came up with a new age learning mobile application which would provide interesting solutions to day to day doubts faced by the students.
The results for the exhibition were decided through voting.
Students, teachers, members of management and other people visiting the exhibition voted the best team according to their opinion. Team Unite, Team Rohbust and Team Breeze won the first, second and third prize respectively.
Team Rohbust was also awarded the Critics Award for their innovative idea of rural electricity.
Dr. Sandip Dan, Rector & Secretary of The Bhawanipur Educational Society College awarded the prizes.
The exhibition was concluded by vote of thanks to the college for organising such an interesting and successful event.
