Placement Hall, October 7th and 8th, 2018. Aeromodelling is much more than a hobby – it is a raging passion that dates back to the time of Icarus. It was the same passion that urged the Wright brothers in Kitty Hawk that is today taking wings in the form of drones. The important point however, is that it is a passion that teaches man to use his brains to defy gravity and soar with the birds. It is a passion that propels his forward.
The Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC) is fired by the same passion and it is natural that it will seek out all knowledge that that will give it wings. It does it academically on a round the clock basis, year in and year out, and at times, takes it literally. The Workshop on Aero Modelling was an example.
Participating students were given an overview about aeromodelling – the dynamics that are involved and the basics that help airplanes fly. A replica airplane was also shown to the students as a part of this demonstration. Once the demonstration was done away with and all reasonable queries for the students – “why does an airplane have two centres of gravity” answered, the seminar went into the practical examination mode. Students were divided into groups and were asked to prepare model airplanes from kits that were supplied by the faculties conducting the workshop. The Team finishing the plane first was given a special prize while all participants were provided with certificates.

BRIO 2016 November 30, 2016 The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata Brio 2016, an Indian Business School (IBS) fest, in Kolkata was held from November 29 to December 1. The first two days of the college event were held in the IBS campus while the final day event was covered at Swabhumi, Urban Zone.
Rangoli, also known as Kolam or Muggu, is a folk art from India in which patterns are created on the floor in living rooms or courtyards using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals . The Rangoli competition was held on the Valia Hall.
