The Department of Bengali in collaboration with the NSS unit observed World Earth Day on 20.04.2024 with the kids of Save the Children Home, Thakurpukur. Considering the theme of 2024, “Planet vs Plastics” an awareness campaign conducted highlighting the urgent need to address plastic pollution and promote sustainable practices.drawing competition for students, the topic was ‘Invest In Our Planet’. Drawing competition conducted for the students from class 1 to 8 .The competition was divided into two groups; Group-A (class 1 to 4) and Group-B (class 5 to 8). A total of 102 students participated. To excel the creative writing among students, Bengali essay writing competition was held for the students of Class 9 to 12.Around 40 students enthusiastically participated in presenting their views, opinions and ideas of saving our home planet.
