Prof Dilip Shah also introduced its first diploma Course COMMERCE PLUS. The huge disconnect between what industry wants and what academia has to offer in terms of trained manpower is widening. Our existing curriculum has comprehensively failed to address this concern, as a result of which, not is the employability quotient of our students at a perpetual low, but industry too suffers in the want to skilled performers on their payrolls. The end result is obvious – wastage of valuable National resources. Lost opportunities. Shattered Dreams.
At “The Bhawanipur”, continuous industry feedback reveals that Tomorrow’s Problems cannot be solved with Yesterday’s Knowledge; leave alone prepare our students for the challenges of a World that is changing @ speed of thought. Commerce Plus will seek to address this dichotomy – by empowering students with skills that are not only cutting edge, but also ones that will stand them in good stead in terms of employability.
Commerce Plus seeks to respond to this paradigm shift that is happening across Indian industry as we brace ourselves up to integrate in the wired world order and will seek to re-skill students so that they may attain critical mass. Commerce Plus is thus, not merely about the sharing of information – it is about the creation of Knowledge Warriors ready to take on tomorrow.
Thus, whether one belongs to faculty of Arts or Science or Management-C+ embraces all.
The response, as expected was amazing. The students were free to choose their preferred collective depending on their area of interest. The BE-ites look forward to the upcoming activities of all the collectives.
