Basketball, invented in 1891 has grown into one of the most played sports across all ages. Today it is also being played at an international level as it has become a part of various leagues such as the NBA. The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised the Intra College Basketball Tournament at the college turf from 8:30 am onwards on the 23rd of February 2023. The league witnessed overwhelming participation, with 18 participating teams.
The League had 9 matches in all and went on to the finals and semi-finals. The team which managed to win most of the ranks was ‘Stranger Boys’ and were declared the winners of the tournament. They competed against the ‘Alley Opps’ team in the Semi-Final in an athletic competition. In the Girls’ section of the league, the semi-final was played between the ‘Conquerors’ and the ‘Net Rippers’ teams, of which the ‘Conquerors’ won the match.
It was a thrilling experience to witness all these matches, as in some of the matches there was a constant change in momentum, which kept the onlookers captivated. The premier league highlight was the high sense of team spirit displayed by the captains of each team & their participants.
