The Department of Games and Sports organised the Intra College Faculty Cricket Tournament 2023 at the College Turf on Sunday, 26th February from 9 am to 1.30 pm. The event saw 17 faculty members participating. They were divided into three teams, Team A was called Bhawanipur Royals & they were from Morning Commerce, Team B was The Bhawanipur Riders Evening Commerce and Team C, called The Bhawanipur Dare Devils, had a mixed Team from BBA/ Science/ Evening & Afternoon Commerce.
All three teams played seven overs match against each other in a league format and the top two teams went to the Finals. The team from the Morning Commerce (The Bhawanipur Royals) and The Bhawanipur Riders (Evening Commerce) played a thrilling final match and the Evening Commerce Section emerged as the champions.
The tournament concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, for which Mr. David Hsu, an Ex Bengal Champion in Table Tennis was invited to give the medals to the winners. The felicitation was followed by lunch for the participating faculties & student volunteers without whom the competition would not have been possible.
