Environmental Development Committeeof The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a popular lecture on ‘Impact of climate change on the Sundarbans’ by Dr. Sugata Hazra, Professor and Director, School of Oceanographic Studies, Jadavpur University, Kolkata on 19th January 2015 at the 2nd floor auditorium.
Dr. Hazra captured the audience from all branches of study by delivering a very thought provocative topic in a popular tone. The session was followed by inquisitive questions by the audience which were dealt by him lucidly. The introductory speech was delivered by Dr. Mahua Das, Co-ordinator, Environmental Development Committee and Dr. Samir Kanti Dutta, Vice-Principal, Science Section gave vote of thanks speech. The programme successfully served the purpose of spreading Environmental Awareness us.
