The line-up of speakers for the event was impressive. The 400 odd students who had had gathered were eager to hear it from the horse’s mouth and heard it they did. For the topic of the Seminar was Event Management, something that all BESC students are either already famed for or is the chosen field where they seek to earn their fame and fortune.
Gautam Bajoria – the name that is synonymous with Umang; Rishab Bapna of CherryTree and Rehan Morris, who helps the TT create content around the events he does of them, were the back-end Men with the All Access Passes who were accessible to all the students for a change.
A short video presentation by Rehan Morris, who briefly explained to the students about event management, gave an idea about why to choose event management as a career and explained in detail about how to deal with different kinds of events.
Gautam Bajaria and Rishab Bapna talked about the biggest event of Bhawanipur Education Society College, Umang and how they go about helping organise the mega show. They also spoke at length about how the event managers work – the pros and the cons about the profession and the key strengths that are required to distinguish oneself in the field.
Enthused by the tremendous response that the event generated and noticing the universal interest of the students to know more about the intricacies of the trade, Prof Dilip Shah, the Dean of Student Affairs of BESC announced that the college will soon organise a 5-day workshop on Event Management, to a rousing applause from all the participants – speakers and audience alike.
Rajarshi Mitra and Rounak Bardia were the student volunteers to whom goes the credit of organising the event.
